Bodakonda waterfalls are a perfect picnic spot to spend quality time with friends and family. People often come here to celebrate birthdays, marriage anniversary and many other occasions. Unlike other waterfalls, here the water does not flow from much higher altitude, so most of the visitors enjoy by swimming in the water.

Bodakonda waterfalls can be easily seen in Google maps, But we try to let you know about best route map to reach waterfalls. If you are travelling from Hyderabad best way is to get onto outer ring road and take the exit at Bonglor (Nagarjuna sagar Road) Junction or Exit 12. If you don’t prefer Outer Ring Road then get on to Nagarjuna Sagar Highway. If you proceed further then you will reach Ibrahimpatnam town, from here you will have two options one route is via manchal and the other one is via gungal. I prefer to choose via gungal, to go on this route you need to proceed on nagarjuna sagar highway for 11 KM, then you will reach Gungal, from there take left and proceed towards Loyapally road for 14 KM and you will reach Bodakonda Village from there take left and within 2 KM you will reach Bodakonda Waterfalls. The nature lovers will thoroughly enjoy this route for sure.

Bodakonda waterfalls are located in the remote area and the tourism is this area is not developed, so tourists can’t find many options to eat. There will be few eateries in Ibrahimpatnam. So prefer to carry your own food or snacks.

Best time to visit these waterfalls is in monsoon season. Usually July to October months are the best time to visit this place

The nearest airport is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.
By Train
There is no train station near by this place. Secunderabad and kacheguda railway stations from Hyderabad are only nearest train stations.
By Bus
There are plenty of buses available to reach Ibrahimpatnam town, from there Loyapally buses will be available frequently.
Note: This place is bit far from the city so many cab services reject to come to this place, but you can still rent a car reach this place.

- It is advised to carry own food and water, since remote location and lack of development in tourism sector in that area.
Be careful while walking on the rocks near waterfall because they are slippery and may cause fatal injuries.
